Kirklees Cathedral Music

Kirklees Cathedral Music is a series of church music published by Kirklees Music and edited by Vernon Hoyle and Jonathan Wainwright. The prime aim of the series is to promote new repertoire of moderate difficulty in the Anglican cathedral tradition for use by cathedral, collegiate and parish church choirs. Contributors include some of the most prominent figures in the field of English church music.

Five works are currently available: a new collection of psalm chants, representing the work of sixty-six composers, entitled Cantica Nova, a collection of ten anthems for Holy Communion entitled Draw Near With Faith*, a book of seven settings of the 1662 Preces, Responses and Lord’s Prayer entitled The Lord’s Name Be Praised*, and collections of anthems for Ascensiontide and Pentecost entitled respectively God Is Gone Up* and Come, Holy Ghost*.

* "……newly composed,…..deserve close study and consideration…….remarkably good value." Church Music Quarterly.
